Danielle & Jamie – A Gorgeous Backyard Wedding in New Hampshire
Like so many of our couples in 2020, Danielle and Jamie originally were going to have their wedding at the Smith Barn in Peabody, Massachusetts (one of our favorite venues!!!), but ended up having a smaller event in their own backyard instead. With the guest list cut in half, the rustic barn gone, and the beautiful orchards for photos no where in sight… my job as the photographer felt even more important. I wanted Danielle’s parents backyard to still feel and look like the venue they had originally wanted. Luckily there were plenty of nooks to get some great photos where there wasn’t anything in the background (their house, the neighbors house, etc.) and there was even a bright red barn down the street!! All in all, it actually kind of felt like we were at the Smith Barn!
We did the first look in the front yard and then headed to the backyard for some family, wedding party and photos of the two of them!
The ceremony was in the backyard under a beautifully decorated arbor and a huge tree!
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed saying hello and grabbing some food (it all looked SO delicious!!!) and Danielle & Jamie said hello to all the guests who couldn’t be there in person and had viewed their ceremony via zoom. And then we did some more photos of just the two of them, and went down the street to the big red barn.
Danielle & Jamie are both HUGE hockey fans (routing for different teams though—he likes the Bruins and she likes the NY Rangers). Jamie got all of his groomsmen Jerseys that said GMAN. Pretty cool!
The reception was relaxed and fun and of course we got some cool night shots once the sun went down (you know we love a good sparkler send-off)!!
