Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your lives, so I always feel honored when couples ask me to be a part of it! I enjoy taking artistic photographs, but know when to get the classic shots as well — I think wedding photography is all about balance. I believe beauty can be seen in anything, and I love photography for its ability to capture a fleeting moment and preserve it for eternity.
If you were to ask my friends to describe me they would say I have the spirit of a curious child, but I like to think I’m just a playful and adventurous person—I’ll do or try almost anything at least once. I’ve never come across a big rock I didn’t want to climb, a dirt road I didn’t want to skip down or a mountainous field I didn’t want to run and twirl through (a la The Sound of Music).
When I’m not at weddings, I like taking road trips and exploring this insanely beautiful world of ours, hiking barefoot, writing short stories, making art, listening to (and photographing) live music and dancing around my kitchen while I cook (usually) delicious vegan food.
I studied journalism at Keene State College and am still waiting to be hired by National Geographic! In the meantime, I can’t believe I get to photograph weddings for a living; I still pinch myself daily.
My husband plays in a Concord-based band so we’re very involved in our local music scene, but are also active in our community with animal rights (we have 3 awesome rescue cats), women’s rights and environmental issues.
I also love meeting new people, so lets be friends?
Writing, coffee, long car rides, listening to local music, tofu, saving animals, the night sky, the poetic genius of Conor Oberst, exploring new places, and collecting rocks from all over the world!
